Great vanilla flavor.
It was shocking when I begin reading the ingredients of vanilla extracts on the market, only to discover that many, even the top brand advertised on Amazon uses everything from sugar and corn syrup, to glycerin, etc.This is how one site answers, what makes (a vanilla extract) "pure”?To be classified as “Pure” by the FDA, extracts must meet a set of strict requirements. These requirements include that pure vanilla extract must contain 13.35 ounces of vanilla beans per gallon of liquid and be 35% alcohol. The agency also limits the permissible ingredients beyond beans and alcohol. We use the “Pure” classification because we only use all-natural ingredients and follow FDA guidelines for creating our extracts.They add sugar to their extract and say, "Sugar is one of five permissible ingredients the FDA allows in pure vanilla extracts. It helps in the extraction process by keeping the extracted vanilla compounds in suspension, aiding in product clarity. We use 100% all-natural, crystalized cane sugar for its reliable quality and taste. The sugar content in our extract makes up less than 5% of the finished product, an amount that is nutritionally insignificant when a small quantity is added to a dish. We do not add any extra sugar after the extraction process."IMHO, pure means pure.
